Panic! at the Disco , is a band formed in the United States that mixes sounds like Rock , Techno, Folk and Indie. Currently consists of Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith , after announcing the July 6, 2009 the departure of guitarist and songwriter Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker because of differences in musical preferences.
Originally , Panic! at the Disco ( with exclamation integrated) consisted of four young people from Las Vegas , NV. It was founded by childhood friends Ryan Ross on guitar and keyboards and Spencer Smith on drums, and later was joined by Brent Wilson on bass and Brendon Urie on vocals, apart from playing instruments like guitar , piano and the accordion. They managed to sign their first record deal by sending a request via LiveJournal Pete Wentz , and noticing this original sound of the band quickly moved to the city of Las Vegas to hear them in person and then sign them under their label decaydance and thus produce their first album ” A Fever You Can not Sweat Out” in 2005. Their debut album was divided into two parts, one in the predominantly futuristic rhythms and synthesizers and other fragments with outstanding acoustic , piano and accordion.
Recently, the band has said that they have been writing songs for what would become the successor of your hard Pretty.Odd. , Which is speculated to go on sale in September 2009. The Blink -182 bassist Mark Hoppus collaborate with the band on at least one song. On July 26 , the group mentioned that they would launch a new single called New Perspective will be part of the soundtrack of the film Jennifer ‘s Body. On July 6 , it was announced via their official website and Myspace portal that Ryan Ross and Jon Walker leave the band due to musical differences.
